"Design is a plan for arranging elements in such a way as best to accomplish a particular purpose" — Charles Eames

So, after noticing this common trend, I decided to conduct a little bit of an experiment over the last several months. Every morning when going into work, I drive in what Californians consider “the fast lane” (Not really the case in Texas) at speed limit. Half the time people will speed around me, but half the time they stick right behind me. I do this for several miles, then, I will change lanes when there is significant open space in front of me. Every single time, 100% of the time, the person directly behind me speeds up 10mph immediately and zooms on past. I continue on at speed limit. What’s the point you ask? I don’t know, it’s just an observation and test I decided to do. Think about it, every single time someone was forced to remain at speed limit, then “released”, they ALWAYS increased speed by approximately 10mph (or enough to pass me quickly and continue on). Interesting, the way people think… OK, it’s a Friday post, what do you expect, this blog is free!

Decided to check out Overnightprints.com and see what the print quality was like, so I ordered several sets of business cards. Just arrived today. Very nice print job, great prices too. I think I prefer them to Vista print now, though, I haven’t ordered any other products from Overnight, I have had good results with postcards from Vistaprint…

Just finished reading Freakonomics last night - Probably one of the last who read this, if you haven’t, check it out, it’s a great read. Really makes you think logically, statistically, instead of emotionally and makes you think twice about popular belief or opinion. The inner workings of a crack dealing gang and the comparisons to corporate America was pretty fascinating, as well as the statistical data associated with babies names and correlations between crime rates and Roe v. Wade. Might be controversial to some, but economics and statistics are reality.

Josh Davis has every man’s fantasy job. He’s found a way to mix high horsepower, gorgeous girls and provocative poses. On top of this he gets paid for it.
